Initially I found this read difficult to get into. No doubt the writing itself is beautiful, I just found it hard to relate to I suppose. Then I picked it up again and couldn‘t put it down. There is much to be learned from what we don‘t at first understand. Towards the end I couldn‘t stop marking pages and rereading passages. This one will stay with me, I‘m sure.
I had a hard time putting this one down. My feelings were mixed regarding the ending, but it was probably the most honest depiction of real life. Family drama, narcissistic parents, and how easily one choice can ruin everything. It‘s interesting how it‘s not usually the greedy who suffer the consequences. What makes someone a good person isn‘t always as simple as it seems.
