The adventure part is decent but most of the characters feel undeveloped and the ending is rushed. The main problem is that the princess is nothing more than a prize - which is rather disappointing for a book published in 2016.

Read Vivian French's Five Kingdom series instead (it's ace)

tpixie Thanks for the warning ⚠️ 8y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @tpixie, her Five Kingdoms series is amazing tho - it's like she just wrote this one to meet a deadline or something? I loved 8y
