Couldn't even finish half of this, but I did reach the main turning point of the story and realized that there probably won't be any gratification ahead. This is a love story set against the backdrop of the Kashmir conflict. I was surprised at how fast things went downhill after a promising start – seriously cheesy romance, two dimensional characters, and a fable-like narrative style to describe life under military occupation. An awful novel.
