A short tale of seduction, selkies, and sushi.
Alex is a werewolf with problems hes unexpectedly alive, hes quite definitely gay, and hes been ordered into a partnership with one very flirty merman.
In this LBGTQ sweet short love story, New York Times bestselling author Gail Carriger brings her comedic voice to contemporary fiction and m/m romance. Explicit language warning but little erotic content. (11,000 words ~ 43 pages) First published in The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance 2 (2010).
WARNING
Contains confused lovelorn werewolves and very pretty ex-Goth mermen who are exclusively interested in each other. May also contain fish, Irish mafia, and a shocking lack of tea.

I've loved characters in this series since I first met Alec & Marvin in Marine Biology. Vixen Ecology (not in Litsy database) is a little darker than her normal writing but it has everything I want. Pack being Pack & Happy Ending.

After finishing #great2020parasolversedoover I've been planning on rereading this series. Now‘s the time. 💕💖

Summer Wrap Up Continues. I read a lot of Gail Carriger this Summer. Before lastest G. L. Carriger came out, reread entire San Andreas Shifters series. Much spicier reads than ☂️ Protectorate. Witty w/ great characters. 🧜🏼‍♂️ There's even some allusions to what happens after Parasolverse. Recently finished Romancing the Inventor. 😍 Onto Custard Protocol soon.

catsuit_mango I also reread all the San Andreas shifters books before the enforcer enigma came out and I am re-reading the Mme Géraldine books because of a certain cameo in Meat Cute 4y
catsuit_mango Yes they so much deserve it 😍 4y

Lately, every book I start, no matter how excited I have been to get to it, has just stressed me out. no reason at all, just straight up anxiety. Anyone else experience something like this?

My fix: #REREADS! Just finished this prequel novella and am moving on to the the next San Andreas Shifters book. And I switched to WTZ for my audio needs. Totally doing the trick! Thank you to these wonderful authors for writing these wonderful books!🥰

Bette Something similar, books I've been waiting for come in and I just cannot get into them. 😢 4y
Texreader Yes. I‘ve definitely felt that way 4y

3/5⭐ Cute and funny with interesting hints of worldbuilding I'm hoping are fleshed out in the main series.

A super short, cute, m/m, romansty prequel to #TheSumageSolution. And a nice fluffy way to recoup after my last read broke my heart!

jpmcwisemorgan Have you read Sumage Solution yet? 7y
the.bookish.valkyrie @jpmcwisemorgan I just started it! But I figured I'd read this one first, especially since it was only .99 on Kindle! 7y
jpmcwisemorgan I'm excited to hear what you think of it!!! It's probably a good idea to go into the series having read Marine Biology. 7y

Fun wee story from Ms Carriger. Fell in love with the characters right away. Plus it has everything - action, romance, mystery, werewolves, merpeople, and humour. She's been talking about writing a sequel so looking forward to that.

Fluffy. Light and very fun. A bit underdeveloped but still very good. Would love to read more of these characters or in this part of Carriger's world.

I know this was a short story/novella but I felt like I'd been dropped in the middle of a story. I liked the ideas, particularly a different look at werewolves than in other Carriger works, and I'd be interested in reading more if she further developed this storyline.
