Beginning this audio book —the narration is wonderful. Loads of eerie atmosphere so far, and immense sensations....I think this is a great one 😉

A delicious, absorbingly haunting mystery. Beautifully written story set on an abandoned homestead in very rural Australia as our heroine slowly unravels several mysteries. Loved the descriptions of the countryside, all of the colorful characters, and good golly, did this one keep me guessing until the very end. Bonus points for giving me the heebie-jeebies near the end, too.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Also, this was my #house book for #mandmchallenge2020. 😃

This book. You guys! I sat finishing it last night with my hand over my mouth. Gasping. SO SO good. Do yourself a flavour and buy it. This was a random book from my TBR pile that I picked up from the secondhand book store and I'm so glad Jesse told me to read it next. It's thrilling, mysterious, intriguing and a story that truly sucks you in.

I originally bought this just because it is set in Queensland, where I live, and it had a mystery. I loved it! It made me think, it made me laugh and yes, it made me cry. The story is told across two timelines, 1940s and the present, and the two intermingle. A good read.
Just a couple more pages before I face the day!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this Aussie mystery, particularly since it is set in Queensland.
To be honest, I only started this book as part of a reading challenge (read a book set in your state - ✔️) but I am glad I read it.
Thornwood House is the story of a woman who inherits an abandoned home in regional Queensland from her ex-husband. Unhappy with life, she sees it as the fresh start she & her daughter need, so they make the move & end up in the middle of a murder mystery.
This book was a real page turner & I highly recommend it!
