Summer Lovin‘
“THE LAST SUMMER AT CHELSEA BEACH is filled with loss, growing up, learning about life, and a “love” story.
THE LAST SUMMER AT CHELSEA BEACH had a lesson about the importance of family and the importance of following your heart.”

3.5 ⭐️ It was a very good read, I was quickly and easily immersed in the story. Some of the descriptions I thought overwrought at times, and just a tiny bit predictable, but not so much that it ruined the journey for me. A great summer read for sure!
It's a beauty, breezy night out here. Lovely! Cheers!
Well this one is easy to be drawn into!! Enjoying it very much so far.
Finally! After fitting in all kinds of books over this one - I'm cracking open The Last Summer at Chelsea Beach! Will get this one read as part of my Summer Reading that I planned out! We're getting closer to Fall so I better get cracking! 🌻>🍃🍁🍂
Okay - going to keep to my "schedule" (self-imposed) and start this one today!
Fabulous! Taking place in the 1940's, the book's protagonist is a young, Jewish, Italian teenager who has escaped to America during the war. She finds acceptance and solace with a Catholic, Italian family from Philly who are her neighbors at the shore. The four brothers include Addie, and she soon learns that being part of a big family can hold dear memories and haunting episodes that one cannot escape--no matter how far one tries to run.
I think that once I finish Jane Steele, I will focus my reading on this pile. Your thoughts? ☺️
This was such a sweet and heartbreaking book. I loved the growth of the main character Addie. I especially love that is set during WWI I
This book is SO GOOD! I'm so great full my book club kiddos picked it as our March read.
