I didn‘t love the premise (teen doctor) or a lot of choices and decisions the Main character made. But there were a bunch of moments I enjoyed.

A cool non fiction about books and how they are different from stories. The history of books and how people read and how it has been seen through time.

On a bit of a sally Rooney kick. I liked this one a little less then normal people. It hit a lot of the same notes, but with less success. Still, a great story with interesting relationships and people.

I feel like Rooney is having a moment right now. This book was fun. The characters felt like real people, well developed and flawed. The relationships are what made the book shine.

I really liked the first bit of this book. Spain under Franco. I liked the mystery about orphans and missing babies. The second part, after the time jump, didn‘t work as well for me. It was a little too tidy.

Book two of Anastasia In Space. Predictable twists but still fun. I am pretty into all these YA in space AUs.

LibrarianRyan I am so glad to see a resurgence of Sci-Fi in YA. It's been so dedicated to Fantasy, fae, magic, etc, that its' nice to see the advancement of science and space. I have way to many of these on my TBR, or in my recently read pile. 3w

This book did not work for me. There is a major relationship between a teen and the father of the girl she babysits. It‘s approached as if it is fine in a way that made me uncomfortable. The book did address with the age gap, but not in a way that made it clear it was wrong.

Another audiobook for me. This one was recollections and histories of children during ww2. Specifically in Russia and areas under Russian rule. Some stories were very short, others longer. Some more terrible then others, in terms of things witnessed. Though they were told by older folks, they were memories of childhood.
