This Night's Foul Work
This Night's Foul Work | Fred Vargas
2 posts | 8 read | 2 to read
A phenomenal bestseller in France, This Nights Foul Work is another irresistible installment in the internationally acclaimed Commissaire Adamsberg series. On the edge of Paris two small-time drug dealers have had their throats cut in a peculiar fashion. Setting out on the trail of the shadowy killer, Commissaire Adamsberg and his detectives travel between Paris and the Normandy countryside. Adamsbergs investigation into these horrible deaths brings him into contact with the attractive Ariane Lagarde a pathologist who caused him professional grief some twenty-five years ago. Theres also a new lieutenant on the scene, whose ties to Adamsbergs past create tension and hostility in his present. Vargas has given us another multi-layered, deliciously-paced and thrilling addition to her acclaimed series. This Nights Foul Work is the finest novel yet from the wonderful Fred Vargas.

Pickpick

If you have not read any of these Commissaire Ademsberg mysteries, start from the beginning and read them in order and don‘t stop until you‘ve read them all. They are the oddest books, and you will fall under their spell. There is no way to describe this reading experience. This book contains feuds, insularity, mysticism, virgins, immortality, stags, saints relics, cats, miracles, dissociation, oh, and murder, of course. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

#blackandwhite One of my favourite author. A new novel is coming out, in French. That means I can read the last one I have. 😊#maybookflowers
