I have reached the end of another amazing Commissaire Adamsberg mystery. Once again, I am faced with the challenge of describing the indescribable. We start with murder by bread and advance to pigeon abuse, a ghost army, a six fingered man, deception on a massive scale, fire, sugar, and so much more. You will not be disappointed. This is my favorite series because it is so, so odd and so, so well written. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Atmospheric mystery as a country town is plunged into panic when the Wild Hunt is seen. Who are they going to carry off?

Something which had never seemed insurmountable to Adamsberg; all you had to do was burn down the haystackand you'd find the needle.
