I appreciated the explanation between an average hero's quest vs a heroine's...and Star Wars' adherence and subversion of those classic story arcs. I'd never really thought about the fact that a hero usually can't wait to leave on adventure and are held back by family (Luke) vs a heroine's fight to stay home & find family and being pulled away unwillingly (Rey). I'm reminded again that I need to read A Hero Has A Thousand Faces by Joesph Campbell.
