X: Writings '79-'82 | John Cage
1 post
One of a series of experimental texts in which Cage tries "to find a way of writing which comes from ideas, is not about them, but which produces them," he attempts in X to create looser structures in both life and art, to free "my writing from my intentions."

#TitlesStartingWithX #SeasonsReadings2016
(I confess it took me quite some time to spot this one on a top shelf! I'd forgotten all about it and I was just talking with @fern about Cage too!) There now I have all my #titlesstartingwithxyz 🤓

[DELETED] 3323341091 ooo! i am jealous of that loveliness you have there. does your copy have that perfect binding that lays comfortably open in one's hands? at home, i have a beat-up copy of M that i rescued from a "free box" while at uni. who discards Cage?! 8y
Hobbinol @fern 😧Horrors! I can't imagine such a thing! I went to a concert at Carnegie Hall shortly after his death, and about a third of the audience walked out! How could they buy a ticket to a Cage concert without knowing what they were getting into!!!? I declare... sometimes...😶 8y
