The Prometheus Deception
The Prometheus Deception | Robert Ludlum
4 posts | 4 read | 2 to read
An explosive thriller from the world's No.1 bestselling international writer. Nicholas Bryson spent years as a deep cover operative for the American secret intelligence group, The Directorate. After a disastrous mission, Bryson was retired to a new identity. Now, years later, his cover is cracked and Bryson learns that The Directorate was not what it claimed to be - and that he was, in fact, a pawn being used against his country's interests. The Directorate is headed for a dangerous endgame, and the CIA recruits Bryson to stop them. But after years on the sidelines, Bryson's field skills are rusty, his contacts unreliable, his instincts suspect and he no longer knows who - if anyone - can be trusted.

Finished at last, after over a month. Phew! Too lazy to write a review/comment on it. Don't know what to read next, considering stepping away a little from thrillers and trying literary fic again and hope the boredom I feel recently when reading the genre doesn't show its face again.

Texreader Ludlum‘s “thrillers” can be long and tedious. 😁 I love thrillers but Ludlum not so much. What are your other interests genre-wise? 5y
Tripex @Texreader I also like crime fiction which I think still falls under thrillers? I used to love literary fiction a lot but now it seems I get bored by them easily but as I said in the post I want to make a go at the genre again. What about you which other genres are your faves? 5y

Still on this. Over a month now thanks to my three-week book hiatus, 92% done though. Slow and steady I go & I will win the lovely race.
