Knitting for Good!
Knitting for Good!: A Guide to Creating Personal, Social, and Political Change Stitch by Stitch | Betsy Greer
1 post | 4 to read
Every time we knit, we have the opportunity to create positive change in ourselves, our community, and in the world. Thats Betsy Greers fervent belief, and in this book she shows us how. Betsy explores the ways we can use knitting to slow down in a fast-paced culture, while using the craft to benefit charities in our communities, to advocate for worthwhile causes, and to support individuals and communities across the globe. Filled with insights from knitters and crafters on how they use craft to benefit others, Knitting for Good! will get you thinking about knitting in a whole new way. So my new Apple Watch (Christmas gift) thinks I burn more calories when I listen to audiobooks and knit than during a Crossfit hour. Gotta take it off for my obviously intense knitting sessions. That's some impressive technology!

Eridau Ha, ha! You should see how many steps it registers if you wear it on your dominant hand and wind skeins. It's crazy how quickly one can reach a daily step goal. 😂 8y
CoffeeAndABook Ha!!! That's the greatest gadget! It knows what you need to hear 👍⌚️😉🙌 8y

tricours @Eridau perhaps I need to do that, even on the days I go for a run I don't reach the calorie goal of 550 for the "medium activity" setting! 8y
