Bodies that Matter
Bodies that Matter: On the Discursive Limits of "sex" | Judith Butler
1 post | 9 read | 42 to read
The author of "Gender Trouble" further develops her distinctive theory of gender by examining the workings of power at the most material dimensions of sex and sexuality. Butler examines how the power of heterosexual hegemony forms the matter of bodies, sex, and gender.

Pickpick

I read so much Butler in undergrad and then re-visited her in grad school. Her writing is so dense but her concepts are brilliant. She was ahead of her time and still is. I've heard her speak and her speaking is just as dense and smart as her writing.
