Top 3 favorite quotes from The Unearthly | Laura Thalassa ➡️ “Be careful of whom you trust. Sometimes knowledge from the dead has a way of cursing the living.”

➡️ “seriously Gabrielle? Look who you‘re talking to-I‘m a gay fairy. I‘m the worlds biggest cliche.”
This was an amazing book. It grabbed and kept my attention throughout the entire book. Can‘t wait to read the next book!
Somewhat derivative, lots of tropes (insta-love, love triangle, secret destiny, etc) with a few proofreading/editing mistakes, and yet somehow kind of compelling. The MC is oddly appealing and relatable. Falls between a pick and a so-so, so had to rate it based on comparison with what else I rated the same way. So-so it is.
I read this paragraph aloud to my daughter and we couldn‘t decide whether it sounded more like me or like her 😬
Laura Thalassa is an author I've been really interested in picking up for awhile, and when I was going through my Goodreads tbr for possible #ripxii books I realized I had this one on my ereader. It sounds like this book is about a girl with a supernatural family legacy who gets turned into a vampire at a mysterious boarding school. I could use a good vampire read, so hopefully this works for me. #currentlyreading
