Here's a book that begs to be shown. Beautifully designed. It was written to go along with the exhibition "Bedlam: The Asylum and Beyond." That tells you a lot about it's focus. If you're hoping for much concentration on mental illness in America and the politics surrounding it you'll be disappointed. The author is British.
