It was cool to hear stories from inside the White House.

Quick read but not really about Eugene Allen. It was more about the movie which was still fairly interesting.

This was not what I was expecting. The movie was made after a published article and then this book was written. It encompasses more than just Allen's story. It also talks about the civil rights movement, blacks in Hollywood, and the making of this movie. It was not a bad book, it just made such a wide sweep over topic, events, and people; I was left wanting more. I wanted so much to see Allen's personal stories. Guess I need to watch the movie.

When you have 31 hours of shift work ahead of you and then realize you checked out an audiobook that is only 2.5 hours long...😐

Librariana Oh no! Was it abridged, or is it just a shorty book? 😰😔 8y
Copwithabook @librariana a shorty. Apparently just 121 pages. I picked it up on a whim (shockingly it wasn't on my Goodreads tbr). @BookishMarginalia I'm so glad y'all understand the struggle. Lol 8y
