3/5
Full of twists and turns....a pulsating last 100 pages
I won this book for free to review. First time reading this author. This was a good psychological thriller about a serial killer using drugs and technology. At first it was a slow read but it picked up halfway through the book and i couldnt put it down. Did not guess the killer at all.
3 stars
Third in the excellent Carrigan/Miller crime series. This one begins with the murder of a young woman, as these things tend to, and then goes off into an exploration of internet stalking. Very creepy and enough to make you tape over your laptop webcam for sure. Faster-paced than the previous books, with less backstory and less of the interplay between the two principal detectives though Carrigan's tussle with IA provides a gripping subplot.
Third in a very enjoyable police procedural series sees the two detectives dealing with an apparent killer having access to victims via intrusion into their laptops and devices - very disturbing.
I felt the end was a bit rushed and it was left with something to be resolved in next book.
If you've not tried the series it is worth it but id recommend reading book 1 first.
