This was a great cornucopia of Squirrel Girl comics! I loved reading every one of them including the newest ones at the end. Of course I'm dying to know what happens to Ratatoskr... guess I'll have to read the next volume to find out. And looooove the Deadpool cards!!! Spot on!

This one was longer than the other books but just wonderfully written. She tells a story about witches and then does poems about rape and feminism. Kudos to just making us women feel important in this day and age with your strong words. Simply beautiful.

Great story and wickedly good illustrations. Loved the robots the best and of course Strong Strong! So cute! So Zita and her friend Joseph wind up opening a portal into another planet and get in trouble. It takes them a lot to escape the bad guys and hopefully try to get back home. It kept my interest all the way through and of course the ending is left wide open.

Stunning, beautiful, wonderful, sad poems. I love her work and will continue to read her books and save the poems for myself to remind me of who I am and where I came from. Words cannot describe what I feel when I read her poems.

This was such a great read and the illustrations were amazing! So our little 15 year old Cleopatra stumbles inside an unknown tomb and is whisked away to the future in space to save the world. There she meets new friends and kicks butt with her ray gun and combat. The story flowed well throughout and how could you not love talking cats?!?! Great for kids who love sci fi, space and a little history (Egyptian that is).

Each one of these books are a gems for librarians and book lovers. In this one, Dewey goes to the dentists, the librarians fight the evil bookmobile and will Buddy the Beaver win the Mascot Cage Match? You need to read it in order to find out! At least in this book I finally found out that Buddy wears a costume and is not actually a real beaver! That's a relief! I look forward to reading more of these books!

I will continuously give these book 5 stars because they are amazing and so well written! This book is about abuse as a child, love, cancer and death. The shapes were amazing throughout and some of the words spread out within the poems were significant and truly touching.

This was a very very very strange book. The illustrations were great and that's why it got the two stars. Other than that not a lot of words and it was very confusing. I had no idea what it was about and at the end I guess it's a loop? Definitely a weird read.

I enjoyed the story and I'm glad he made a second volume to show Bod grown up and wrapped up the story in a nice little package. He finally got revenge on the murderer and got to see his childhood friend. The ending was bittersweet. Good all around.

I absolutely love love love this book... so much that I had to take pictures for myself of a few of the poems because they were completely relatable to what I've been through. Loved the illustrations throughout the book. I definitely pleasantly surprised because I thought the book was about monsters but actually about going through love and the messy breakup of it. A must read for anyone who is going through a break up or divorce.

I kept hearing about this comic and I'm glad to have finally read it! It's about a super smart girl (#16 in the world) who befriends a dinosaur. Mayhem and chaos ensue and a special appearance by an Avenger pops up (he's #8 of the smartest in the world). Loved her outfits throughout and her inventions. Looking forward to reading the rest in the series!

This was a great story and the illustrations were okay. It's about a girl who was adopted by a mage and is kidnapped to Hades. I loved all the characters and figured out who the bad guy was pretty early on. Ending was cute and happy. Just as a good story should end!

This was a great book, story and art. The illustrations were amazing throughout. I really really liked seeing the relationship bloom between Ari and Hector (meaning the flowers on the pages when their relationship grew and grew). Ari was a little annoying at first but he eventually grew on me. Super cute ending!

I literally never seen any of these comics before and found this book. As a book lover and librarian, this book is freaking hilarious. The book is filled with comic strips varying from dating, librarian life to book suggestions. The “beaver“ is my favorite character and it bugs me because is he really a beaver or dressed up like one? Hmmmm...
Great book.

Wow.... the second book in the series was great! What a story! This time Cass is in Paris with her parents continuing with the ghost book tour. As you know, it can't be all sunshine and roses for Cassidy. She unearths a poltergeist that seems to thrive on mischief and mayhem. Will she be able to stop it? Ending was creepier for me than the poltergeist.

The book dragged for so long. I highly recommend reading the end first and then reading the book. It's much better that way. It didn't take me long to figure out the twist and the only saving grace in the book was when I figured it out and realized what they were. Also the fairy tales were sweet. The rest was just blubber and didn't get any stars. It was the same thing over and over and over and over and I just wanted it to stop. 2 stars

This was a truly amazing piece of work and art. The only reference it had to Wonder was the character Julien, the bully. The story is about Julien's grandmother and how she lived through the Nazi regime. Yes I cried and it was worth it. The illustrations were great and some (bluebells) were just stunning. I really love the story from beginning to end. Definitely worth a read.

So yea I'm addicted to this series now. This one was better than the first! So everyone who got a new body part is having weird stuff growing out of them and is turning them violent. Our main characters are trying to hold it together but the ending!! OMG what is going to happen next! And I must say I love the green floaty dog that is helping the son out... so cute! Good story and good illustrations.

This one was just okay. The story is that the witches keep coming back every 100 years and generations of men keep trying to destroy them. The illustrations were great but it was way too violent and gory for my tastes. The only reason I finished it was due to the story when their memories were erased. That was the only saving grace of the comic which is why it got 2 stars.

This was a great find and an awesome read! Perfect for Halloween night reading. The poems are about the students and activities at monster school. My favorite was the last one about the ordinary kid... or is he?!?!? Illustrations are great as well and it's not too scary for the little ones to read or have their parents read it to them.

Ah as a fan of Chew, I was going through withdrawal from Rob's work and then I found this comic! Thank you! Rob's new venture is about a man who grows human body parts (helping humanity for people who lose limbs, etc). However, its not as it seems and it seems to be going very very wrong and down a dark path. He had similar illustrations like Chew (which makes me happy) and the characters are great as wall as the storyline.

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end! Illustrations were awesome as well. This is a story of a new girl who gets befriended by an awkward (but of course!) neighbor/landlord's daughter. A lot of things happen throughout this book that can happen in real life... jealousy, fights, etc. Ending was superb and cute. Really good story.

I thought this was a great story and super illustrations throughout the book. At first I thought the girl was annoyingly awkward (ha ha get it from the title?) but after that it got so much better! She got out of her awkwardness and really shined through. Definitely a great read for teens on how to deal with bullying and friendship while in middle or high school.

This one deserved all the stars. It made me cry... twice. Sad, happy, sad, happy... man what a rollercoaster! Chi finally meets his kitten family, his two siblings and his mom. It takes him a while to figure it out but when he does he's torn between his human family and the cat family. What will he choose? As usual, the cats were all adorable and really great ending... (chariots of fire was playing in my head!).

By far the best Lucy Knisley book I have read to date. I definitely should've read this before I got married but I basically did kinda the same things she did when she got married. Crafty, low cost, wedding in the backyard. It was awesome reading what she went through before the wedding, all the trials and tribulations... plus the stress of finding the dress! Loved the actual pictures from the wedding.

As a long time fan of Tina Fey, I was very happy to have read this book. It was hilarious for 95% of the book. Her stories of growing up were priceless and her stints on SNL and 30 Rock were great. The only thing I couldn't resonate with her was the ending with the motherhood stuff, probably because I'm not a mom. But besides that I loved the book especially her lists!

This would have been a 4 star rating if the story/author didn't hate on the Steelers, just sayin! Besides that it was a great love story. The premise that an 18 year old girl is the only survivor in a plane crash in Ireland. She runs away to find herself and makes up a new persona. I figured out the ending in the book with the little hints thrown here and there. Sweet ending that was tied up with a bow.

This was a great graphic novel. I love steampunk to begin with but adding famous superheros in it made me even happier! So the villain Blackmass seeks to destroy the world and devour the souls. So there is a war starting and Red Sonja is trying to stop the war from spreading. Along the way she meets all the heroes from Flash Gordon to Zorro. The illustrations were amazing and It was a kaleidoscope of color throughout. Kudos.

Ah and the series continues on! This time Sunny faces the rules of being groovy or not in the middle school. She is torn between being cool with her girlfriends or being nerdy playing D&D with the boys. Which way will she turn? Once again, love the story and the illustrations. As a PA native, this series takes me back to when I grew up and I enjoy each and every one of these books! Great pic of the author at the end as well. :)

I thought this was a really good book. Its been a while since I read the first book but Ms. Hamilton made it very easy to jump back into the Anita Blake storyline. In this book there are very gruesome (and yes the detail in the book described the killings very very clearly) murders happening and Anita thinks it has to do with the supernatural. No surprises ... I figured out who was behind it all and the ending was good. 3 stars

The cuteness overload continues! This time around Chi continues on his outside adventures with his kitten pal Cocchi. Not much of the big grey cat anymore. Chi gets chased by a man, learns how to live on the street and finally is able to leap tall buildings and land on his tiny feet! What new adventures wait for him in volume 4? I can't wait to find out! All around great book from beginning to end!

It was an interesting read. Definitely graphic with words and pictures but I made it through just fine! Many years of watching Walking Dead has sort of desensitized me with zombies. I particularly enjoyed the introduction and the ending when he started changing. I'm just curious how the zombie kept writing even though he was a zombie... hmmm.... Good read for Halloween or any time of year.

This was a great book! The illustrations were awesome and the story was just as good! Imogene was homeschooled but decided to go to middle school. Her and her family work at the Ren Faire and its a great contrast between her acting in the fair and her trials and tribulations in school (ones we all had to deal with... shudder). The cover caught my eye so I decided to check it out from the library. I'm glad I did! This was a great read and not that scary (okay maybe her interaction with the Raven was intense!). The story is about a girl who sees ghosts and can go to the other side where the ghosts resides. Sort of like an Odd Thomas story for children but the story flows so it can be read by any age.

But a great adult humor book. Every one of the alphabet was my favorite and I'm still trying to figure out why there was a pickle at the end of the book. Randomness I guess which is awesome!

I was so excited to see a sequel came out for You. At first, the story was a bit slow but it got a lot better and definitely a page turner! Our bad boy Joe got vandalized and robbed and moved to CA to find the culprit. At first, he was subdued and literally only killed 1 person! I was like whoa... what is going on with Joe? But he came back and killed more people and the language started back up... Excellent read.
