As the spring thaw comes bears wake up hungry but is a bear responsible for this death?
The first 2/3 of this book was absolutely hilarious to the point where I didn't really care about the mystery element.
Spring in Alaska is a very active season and Kate Shugak is right in the middle of ALL the activity. If it can happen, it happens to her. She also seems to be channeling her lately departed Emaa. Also, bears and bears and bears, oh my! Feuds, wayward spouses, shooting, falling skies (sort of), murder, this book has it all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
