Run to Ground | Katie Ruggle
6 posts | 11 read | 4 to read
First in Katie Ruggle's thrilling new Rocky Mountain K9 Unit series. He lost his mentor. He lost his K9 partner. He almost lost his will to live. But when a killer obsessed with revenge targets a beautiful woman on the run, Theo and his new K9 companion will do whatever it takes to save Jules before they lose their last chance at a happily ever after... Theodore Bosco, grieving the death of his partner, is reluctantly fascinated by secretive newcomer Jules. Although his instincts scream that he should avoid her, he can't seem to stay away. It doesn't help that Theo's new K9 companion, Viggy, has fallen head over paws with Jules's rambunctious family. Or that when he's with Jules, Theo finally knows peace. When Jules kidnapped her siblings, whisking them away from abuse to the quiet anonymity of the Colorado Rockies, she never expected to catch the eye-or the heart-of a cop. All it would take is one wrong move and she'll lose everything. Yet as Jules attempts to fight her growing attraction to the brooding K9 officer, another deadly threat lurks much closer to home. Someone's gunning for Theo and Viggy, and they're willing to take out anything...or anyone...who gets in the way of revenge. I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!) Feel free to join in!

This was a great suspense book, but I felt like the background info we were given was limited and it was all tied up so fast. I‘m hoping the next books in the series will bring more to light.

K9 series. I liked the beginning of this series. The dog and his new partner are both in mourning and not getting along very well. Jules has her siblings and is on the run to a new town for a fresh start. She has a lot to hide and the last thing she needs is to fall in love with a cop. I thought this book had a lot of action. I didn't like how quick the ending was but might wrap up in bk 2.

CrowCAH If you like K-9 stories , try this one by one of my fellow #MittenLitten RWA authors 5y
OneCent76 @CrowCAH thanks for the suggestion! I've added it to my list. 5y

This was good...humorous with some sexy rapport between the leads. Heroine was a bit of a dichotomy, strong and independent at times, weak and wishy-washy at others. 😜 I plan to read the second book coming out in September. However I didn't enjoy this as much as I did her previous series (Search and Rescue). There were 4-5 of those and loved all of them. #romantsy #osrbc
