This book is between a pick and so so. I don't like how the book started. And Quinn was quite annoying as a character. There are a couple of twists in this story that I was surprised about, but it seemed to take a bit to get there. And then the book was over. So it felt like a short story. I'm glad I read it but not a favorite.

Amazing story full of characters that we learn just enough about to matter. It's a mystery of what first happened to Bear and then years later his sister Barbara. It's a well thought out story. I really enjoyed this one.

This story was good, but it could have been a lot better. I didn't trust Sam at all. I was surprised by the twist. I didn't really care for the ending but it could lead to a part 2 if the author cares to do that. If I say more it will ruin it for others. Definitely worth the read.

What a strange short story! Talia is on death row for killing her husband. She claims her innocence. Then she sees a man that is her husband, maybe? Or what if none of that is true at all? Wowzers lol

This book was a little boring at first. But once it got going wow was it crazy and full of the typical twists and turns that Freida McFadden is known for.

This is an amazing fictional story based on true events of The Land Between The Lakes in Tennessee. Emma is raised by her Dad and is taught how to be a farmer and not a lady. She has a lot happen to her throughout her life. But she was strong and someone everyone looked up to. This was such a good book and written really well.

I read this for my book club. It was a good story about missing artifacts but also a woman in search for family. This is the first time I've read a book by this author and I may check out more by her.

This book was read for my book club. It's a decent book but I didn't love it. It's a lot of short stories, in my opinion. They were good but I'm not sure how they all connected except for the ocean.

This 3rd and I think last part of the series was a little slow at the beginning. A lot of time has passed and a lot has changed for Millie and Enzo. So that took some time to get used to. I felt like a lot more could have happened to make the story better. But half way through and it did pick up some. Another good book for sure.

Millie had me a little upset in this book. I didn't like how she treated a couple of people. And for as street smart as she is, she was a little too trusting. Great book though. And when you think you've read all of the twists and turns, here comes another.

This is a pretty suspenseful book. At times it gets a little repetitive but I still really like it. This author reminds me of the original VC Andrews books. They are fast reads that keep me interested. I wasn't sure who to trust in this book.

Wow. The main character of this book is not a good person. This is a great book. It does highlight racism and discrimination and I liked that the author did that.

3 stars. This book kept my interest. There are a few shady characters and i wasn't totally sure who to believe. There were times Grace made bad decisions and I was like wth are you doing? Surprise ending i definitely didn't see coming. Worth the read.

It's been a while since I read a spicy romance. There were parts that dragged on a little. But I did enjoy the characters and the progression of the story.

I read this for a book club. I probably wouldn't have chosen it on my own. It was good in parts. I read the Scarlet Letter a long time ago. I think if I remembered more of that I would have enjoyed Hester more.

This book has a ton of characters. Too many really. The concept was interesting. Short string vs long string to represent life, what would you do differently? What the characters do accurately represents how people would really act. It was a decent book.

I have never read anything by these two authors. This is not my typical genre to read. It was for a book club I'm in. There is a lot of action and sadness. I thought there were some corny lines. It was just okay for me. But if you're a fan of these two, you'll probably really enjoy it.

This was a good book. Doug was narcissistic. It was hard reading Annie forced to do things as she is learning she wasn't being treated fairly.

This book was kind of disappointing. Author did another story within a story and I don't think that was smart. In the modern day story, there was no character development, a lot had already happened and we were dropped into the middle of it. I didn't connect with main character. In the play the MC wrote, I liked it alright but was still meh. Disappointing and barely made it to a so so rating.

This is an amazing book about combat nurses in the Vietnam War. The author did a great job explaining the experiences of combat nurses while in the war. And then when men & women came home and how poorly they were treated. Frankie was experiencing ptsd but didn't know it. She went to the VA twice and was turned away. So infuriating! I absolutely love this book.

It took a bit to get into this book. But I did like it. There is a lot to this book! Omegas and Gordo and Mark and outside wolf clans. A sex scene that I felt I was invading their privacy haha.

I did not like the main character Sage. She got on my nerves. The back story of the other 2 characters was really hard to read because the author went into detail what happened during WWII and Auschwitz. That was the best part of the story. The ending was just sad and I don't feel Sage learned a lot or grew much.

This book takes us back to 2020 when Covid hit the world. It started off kind of slow but I got into the story and then everything I thought was happening flipped. This was a pretty decent book. I enjoyed it.

This book is about racism, outright and underlying. This book is about growth. Fighting for what is right even if it means losing everything. Ruth, a black nurse, is accused of killing a baby of white supremacy parents. She goes on trial and her white lawyer tells her racism can't be brought up in court or they will lose. Even tho racism is why Ruth is on trial. This book is simply amazing. I can't recommend it enough.

Asher & Lily. Teen romance, in love. Lily is hiding a secret and Asher has some anger issues. I loved this book.

This is an amazing beginning of a series I can't wait to read the rest of. Wolves, humans, alphas. I laughed and I cried. Such a great book!

I really enjoy the characters in this book. It's the second book, first being The Searcher. The mystery is really drawn out, but it makes it all more natural. I read this for a book club and will continue with the series.

This was a pretty good book. Every scenario I had in my mind, I was wrong.

This book is my city's One City One Book choice. It's a very informative book, sometimes too much information. It did have some interesting stories tho. Towards the end the author talks about Virginia's time in the CIA and how she was treated. And when Virginia passed away in the early 80's, her life was honored. A little boring at times but overall a good book about a brave woman that made a difference in history.

Amazing, amazing book! There are most certainly difficult parts to read in this book. But the story of James and Huck Finn was just superb. I can't recommend this book enough.

This is between a pick and so so for me. It was a good mystery and I liked the antique aspect of it. Arthur, the man murdered, left clues for Freya and her Aunt Carol. Carol was a great character. I would suggest this to others for a good mystery.

This book is so interesting and the young man frustrating. The book details as much as possible the last days of Chris, a young man that goes out on his own to experience life. He makes his way to Alaska and wants to survive out in the wilderness. Trouble is he has few supplies and thinks he will be okay. The saddest part is when his parents go to the bus where he died and see how he lived for the last part of his life. Great true story.

This is a great mystery. It is slow paced in parts but I think that adds to the suspense. Is Trey's brother alive and can retired police officer Cal find out what happened? This book really left me guessing until the big reveal.

This is a very good, informative book about a couple that attempt to escape slavery. This is a true story and the couple is connected to Frederick Douglass, among others. It's very eye opening what they had to endure and the lengths they went to find freedom. I read this for a book club.

Action, betrayal, steamy scenes, etc. why didn't I read these books sooner?

This second book was really good. It was full of action and some surprises that will change things. It ended on another cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next!

I read this for book club. I didn't understand it. There was a mystery that I completely forgot about and by the time it got back to that I didn't care. There were parts I enjoyed at the time but I couldn't tell you what they were because they didn't stick with me. Very disappointing.

This book has some flaws but overall it is decent. I didn't like that we are told right away that Avery and Colin get rescued from the plane crash. It took away from the suspense and urgency when the author was talking about them being stranded. Some of the flashbacks got confusing too.

Really interesting book about McBride's life as well as his Mom's life. This book was recommended to me and I'm glad I read it.

Ohhhhh my goodness this book is action packed! There were a few times Violet annoyed me. The dragons were great. Romance great. The ending omg i literally yelled "what that's it?!" at the ending. I cannot wait for the 2nd book to be available at my library!

I finally got around to reading this book. It was good - I understand the hype! I liked the characters, action, and storyline. I will keep reading the series
