Attack on Titan: Colossal Edition, Volume 1
Attack on Titan: Colossal Edition, Volume 1 | Hajime Isayama
14 posts | 3 read | 2 to read
THE COLOSSAL EPIC BEGINS!This volume includes Vol. 1-5 of Attack on Titan in an extra-large 7x10.5-inch size, with 15 COLOR PAGES never published in any other book - not even in Japan! For eons, humans ruled the natural world. But a century ago, everything changed when the Titans appeared. Giant, grotesque parodies of the human form, these sexless monsters consumed all but a few thousand human beings, who took refuge behind giant walls. Today, the threat of the Titans is a distant memory, and a boy named Eren yearns to explore the world beyond the wall. But what began as a childish dream will become an all-too-real nightmare when a Titan finally knocks a hole in the wall, and humanity is once again on the brink of extinction.

I‘m not sure how many times I‘ve read this series, but considering it‘s my top anime/manga, I‘ll keep picking it up. This is a continuation of my read-through of the entire universe. 34 volumes and 3 novels left. Can I finish them before the last ep comes out in dub (Jan 6), and I can then start another watch through??

Challenge accepted.

I can‘t get over how much I love this series, and reading it in oversized, glossy paper is so much better! The art is gorgeous and the storyline is amazingly heart wrenching and nerve wracking. It‘s truly something to experience!

Levi is a total badass. 😁 Also this is from Colossal Edition volume 3. But Litsy is dumb and doesn't have that one listed. 😡

The story holds just enough mystery to stay deliciously intriguing. Everything is revealed slowly as Isayama unravels his world to the reader. Not afraid to pull any punches, a sense of genuine threat is felt for every character. The entire premise is so novel, its hard to know what to expect next.

This is my 'A' title in the #LitsyAtoZ challenge

I took this earlier today to show the difference in size of the colossal edition. I love it! It's so heavy I have to read it sitting down 😜💕

#currentlyreading Attack on Titan

The beginning chapters are pretty rough but you can already see Isayama has a lot of passion and energy in his artwork.

This is my 'A' title for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge :)
