pickAfter revisiting Christina Rossetti's poetry a few days ago, I pulled out another brick of a book. I know that Hardy is Marmite: I am definitely a lover. A lot of people don't realise just how much poetry he produced. If you've read any of his novels you will have an idea of the themes/tone/subject matter/landscape of his poetry. You need to be in a certain mood for him but there is some lovely stuff in here.
