An extremely interesting, but occasionally frustratingly written story. It was detailed and seemed almost to be talking about magical lands (especially considering the part about the unicorns...). It was hard at times to know how much of it was truth and how much was a beautiful fabrication.

Overall it spun a mesmerising image, but seemed to be trying to give the impression of being a spoken story.

Marco Polo - the man is awesome. Such a great adventure traveller. This book is like a lesson about the indian society and culture in 13th Century. So eager to know what is next while reading.

Interesting observations from Marco Polo on his travels through India, but the writing style grated on my nerves.

I really enjoyed this interesting little book. Marco Polo writes about what he has seen whilst travelling India, he has an oddly simplistic way of starting and ending points that has really annoyed some people but I found it rather charming and have added the full book to my TBR
