I totally forgot about these books that I listened to whilst gardening and organising stuff in my house. The first book in the trilogy White Tiger was picked for our book club. I then continued on listening. These books were terribly written and needed a good edit but I loved that it was set in Hong Kong where I lived for a few years as a child and I just went back to visit in October. I also found the story interesting. ⬇️

Rissreadswithcats I‘m glad I didn‘t physically read them though. They were a perfect companion whilst I was busy. I‘m the only person in my book club that rated White Tiger above 1.5! I gave it a 2.5. 2w
Reggie Did you visit where you used to live, the house, the neighborhood, when you went back to Hong Kong? 2w
Rissreadswithcats @Reggie yes I did. That was the reason I went back. I was supposed to do the trip with my Dad but sadly he passed away before we could. It was fabulous and very emotional. Do you have Instagram or facebook? I did a day by day post. 2w

Reggie @Rissreadswithcats I don‘t. Litsy is my only social media. I do go back to where I live every time I visit my grandma and have to drive down the short street we lived on and see the house that none of us have lived in since 2001. 2w
Rissreadswithcats @reggie the last house I lived in there in the New Territories is now owned by the Chinese military. It‘s boarded up and very run down but there was a window missing so I climbed in. The flat I lived in on our first stay was in Pokfulum. I knocked on the door and the new tenants let me in. I felt bad for them as I burst into tears! 2w
Centique Hi Nerissa! I just got home from our trip to the lovely surprise of a gift from you! Thank you so much! I remember your great review of the book made me add it to my TBR. I am really looking forward to reading it 😍 How are you? How is your new year going? 2d
Rissreadswithcats @Centique 2026 is going fine. Lots to do at my place so that‘s keeping me very busy. I‘m installing a cat net around my patio so that they can enjoy it with me. It will give us all more space. I‘ll attach some climbing frames etc to the walls so they can get a bit more exercise too. How was your trip? X 21h
Centique @Rissreadswithcats it was really good! We did a variety of things to suit everyone - like airplane and car stuff for the boys, design stuff for my daughter, history things for me - but I think everybody had a good time. Just wish it wasnt so far to go - a bit of a shock to the body clock both ways for me! 14h
Centique @Rissreadswithcats sounds like youre creating cat paradise! Please post pictures when youre finished! 14h
