In City of Masks, we are transported to 14th century Venice, specifically 1358 when Venice was besieged by the Hungarians and lawlessness and treachery abounded. Decent historical mystery. Just got this for review. I'm incredibly excited to be back in this post-Plague medieval mystery world. Sykes is a talented writer and always weaves a good tale. I can't wait to dive in! Oswald de Lacy is a great character.

I'm so tired! We drove all the way from Tucson, AZ to Pasadena, CA for a U2 concert yesterday, and all the way back today. 17 hours in the car in 2 days, and I couldn't read at all bc I get carsick. 😭😭 But, it was my husband's bday present, and he was so happy. And now I am in bed early, with a book! 📚🙂🙌🏻
