For Magnus Chase: Hotel Valhalla Guide to the Norse Worlds
For Magnus Chase: Hotel Valhalla Guide to the Norse Worlds: Your Introduction to Deities, Mythical Beings, & Fantastic Creatures | Rick Riordan
So you've made it to Valhalla. Now what? This "who's who" guide to the gods, goddesses, and other important figures of Norse mythology was commissioned by Helgi, who, after more than a millennium as manager of Hotel Valhalla, became fed up with answering the same questions from newly deceased heroes at check-in. The profiles provide essential stats, interviews, and personal reflections so you can identify the gods and avoid those awkward introductions. Handy facts about other beings round out this go-to tome. You'll never see Ratatosk as a cute little rodent or confuse a dwarf with an elf ever again!

It basically just explains Norse mythology for you. I thought it was kinda boring but not enough to hate it or feel like you were wasting your time.

Umm I'm not going to lie - this was a fun audiobook! Interview style narration with Odin, Thor, etc. A nice take on Norse Mythology after finishing the Neil Gaiman version.

I loved this companion book to the Magnus Chase series. This book has stories about the Norse Gods mentioned in the first two books in the series. The stories are fun and enjoyable. Great for fans of this series!

This was a fun little companion book to Uncle Rick's Magnus Chase series! It was a really quick & easy read, to kind of ease my way back in while recovering from the never ending migraine, since I didn't really have to think too much about it. It's also good to have if you're reading this series & have no foundation at all in Norse mythology. It gives you a little glimpse, so you have some idea while reading the series.

Laalaleighh 💙 Norse mythology is my favorite 8y
NovelGirl82 Greek is my favorite, since it was my foundation when I first started studying mythology in high school, but I loved Norse when I started learning more about it in college! Fun fact: it's Riordan's favorite, too, even though his most popular series is Greek! If you haven't read Magnus a Chase, it's a fun one, & the second one comes out next month. 8y
Laalaleighh I will have to check them out. I had a book of Norse myths when I was a kid so they were my first mythology. 8y
NovelGirl82 @Laalaleighh They are very YA, in the Harry Potter range, so if you aren't in to that you may not enjoy them. They are great for a break from heavier reading, though, and a lot of fun for just "fun reading". 8y
