More like a thumb halfway-up. Super interesting premise: a judge‘s wife and an Indian doctor fall in love in 1950s Ireland. When she gets pregnant, it all has to be hushed up (because mixed-race baby). Thirty years later, Emma, the daughter of the judge, learns the truth about the mother she never knew.
The writing was a little clunky though, and the font was terrible! Seems silly to complain about, but it was hard to read. #jesshowreads2018
