I forgot to put up another post about the Brownies' Book! Here are some illustrations and photographs featured in the magazine during its 24 month run. The anthology is broken up into 6 main sections (including a complete reproduction of the April 1921 issue).

diovival @Lcsmcat @Cinfhen @Jess_Read_This I'm glad I could share this with you guys! My parents were concerned about the images I was exposed to growing up. It was really important to them that I see people who looked like me in the stories I read and the dolls I played with. I can only imagine what having access to this magazine may have meant to Black families in 1920s America. 7y
