Subway Stops and the Places We Meet
Subway Stops and the Places We Meet | Michele Miller, Mindy Hayes
1 post | 2 read
On June 18, 1992, Flight 397 crashed off the coast of Long Island, claiming the lives of all on board. Cole and Samantha, two strangers who randomly meet one year later at a memorial for the crash, both lost loved ones that day. There are over seven million people in New York City. One random encounter is called chance. Two is coincidence. Three? Well, baby, we call that fate. **Subway Stops is the second book in the Paper Planes series co-written by Mindy Hayes and Michele G. Miller. Each title can be read on its own, but we recommend you read them in order for maximum enjoyment. This is a PG-13 adult contemporary romance.

Bailedbailed

As you can see I barely started this one. When the book starts with your main character leering down the shirt of who I'm sure is supposed to be the main love interest of the story, the books not going to pull you in. So disappointed as I loved the first book in this series soo much.

laurieluna This pattern of introducing love interests with a creepy attitude and sexist remarks is still heavily prevailant. I bailed on a YA book coming out later this year because the main love interest in that was introduced in a similar way. What do they think readers will take away from this? 😧 6y
LadyPotterHead @miralunasbooknook I was actually really surprised as I've never come across this before. You're exactly right, what are they thinking? I'd get it if it was supposed to be a character arc but I'm sure that's not the case here because he was very likeable in the first book where he was a background character. 6y
rmrm Won't be reading this one then. 6y
LadyPotterHead @rmrm good idea, lol, although I am eventually going to go back to it to see if that was just a monetary lapse of the author 6y
