The Farmer's Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt
The Farmer's Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt: Inspiring Letters from Farm Women of the Great Depression and 99 Quilt Blocks That Honor Them | Laurie Aaron Hird
1 post
Featuring real-life letters from The Farmer's Wife magazine, Laurie Aaron Hird's new book commemorates the strength and hope of the farm women of the Great Depression. The 99-block queen-size sampler quilt inspired by these letters uses reproduction 1930s fabrics. For each block, instructions are provided for template piecing, and--where applicable--rotary cutting, so readers can piece the blocks based on their preferred technique.

@Cinfhen Yep, I'd say #Ollies is worth a trip. Large book section. Well organized. Lots of variety. Most books $1.99-2.99 My husband found the tagged book, and although I don't plan to make this quilt, it has letters written by women during the depression. I have others in the series and have enjoyed them. Thrilled with my finds! #HusbandsOfLitsy BTW cashier says if you read & return book within 30 days, you can get $ back or trade for new book!

Cinfhen Thanks for tagging me😊looks like a trip to Ollie's is in my future❤️ 7y
