Murder with a Twist
Murder with a Twist | Tracy Kiely
3 posts | 3 read | 2 to read
Visiting New York to attend a cousin's birthday gala, Nic and Nigel Martini are looking forward to cocktails with old friends and a pampered stay at the Ritz. But when the birthday girl's gold-digging cad of a husband goes missing, the Martini family worries that the social event of the season may turn into a story for the scandal sheets. Nigel's condescending aunt begs former detective Nic to find sleazy Leo, despite the fact that it would be better for everyone if he just stayed lost. Trailing a "married bachelor" with a penchant for trouble isn't pretty; in fact it's downright deadly. Assisted by Nigel and their newly adopted Bullmastiff, Nic must tangle with her old underworld connections if she hopes to hunt down the dirtiest Martini. Praise: Even teetotalers will enjoy these Martinis. Heres hoping Kiely will treat readers to another round.KIRKUS REVIEWS "Witty, droll, and hilariously spot on."Hank Phillipi Ryan, Agatha, Anthony, Macavity, and Mary Higgins Clark Award-winning author

Mehso-so

Not the best mystery plot, but it was an entertaining, easy read. I'll probably pick up the next one when I need some mindless entertainment.

Someone took the liberty of "correcting" the grammar in this library book. I think it's debatable whether it's actually an error. I don't care what you do in your own books, but don't write in library books!

In other news, this seems like it will be a fun book, at least based on the first 14 pages. And I didn't realize it's set at Christmas, so it will be my first Christmas murder mystery of the season ????️?

janeycanuck I was the second person to have a particular book at my library once and the person before me had underlined parts on almost every single page. So distracting... what good is writing in a library book, you can‘t just go and look at it whenever you want?? Plus, IT‘S NOT YOUR BOOK. Great, now I‘m all riled up. 7y
Amie @janeycanuck that would be frustrating - I can see why you're riled up 😀 I can't understand why people write in library books! 7y
