Thanks @Sarah83 for tagging me to review our buddy read. :) I liked this book but I must admit that I was a bit annoyed at times by all his digressions (which he at least openly admits to making all the time). I also, especially considering he‘s a scholar, would have liked more reliability in mentioning his sources. He quoted a lot of ideas without acknowledging those people who had them in the first place. But maybe I‘m just too picky. 😊

It's so sad, that this book is only published in German. I would love to share it with every Litten.
It's a non fiction book, about why reading makes us happy. It's about the history of reading and the circumstances, why reading because popular, after it was once only for monks or other selected people. It is decorated with lovely 'reading pictures' and I flew through this book. Did you like it @scripturient ? It was also on my #tbrbingo list.
