This book hit close to home for me. I have been navigating strange elite folkways for my entire life. As a class migrant, I can confirm there really is a big cultural class difference in America. It is almost certainly getting worse, and it is causing real societal issues that we need to give deep thought. Shorter than hillbilly elegy and without the memoir component, but it explains much better how a lot of people are alienated and tired of the patronizing and tone deaf attitude of well meaning folks in the Democratic party and other left wing organizations. As part of a working class family I saw myself and my family in a lot of her arguments, even though we are not Americans, which proves the phenomenon she described is not local
