I've been thinking about my #phil5 and have come to the conclusion that I've always felt alienated by philosophy. Alongside poets and novelists, it's the natural world that teaches me about life. Socrates is welcome to his "men in the town": I'd much rather be in the woods! ? @jdtchicago
Cathythoughts I agree 💫nature is the one. I also wanted to add myself as one of my best teachers , because ultimately we must trust ourselves. Bravo ! I love your answer ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍 7y

quietlycuriouskate @jdtchicago Ah, yes, you make a fair point with Thoreau. I've not read Emerson (will look him up). The book you tagged looks interesting, too. 7y

LectricSheep This book looks awesome! I've been looking for a reference for North American/east coast trees for a while, but all the books I've seen are handbooks, so they're way less comprehensive with smaller and fewer drawings than the one in your photo. Do you know of a similar book for my region? 🤤 7y
quietlycuriouskate @LectricSheep I wish I could suggest something but am coming up with nothing. Sorry. I've had most of these books since I was a kid. 7y
LectricSheep Thanks for trying! 😀 7y
