Samuel Pepys is one of the most well-known figures of the seventeenth century as a result of the tremendously detailed, lively diary he kept in the 1660s. This book uses Pepys's diary together with his unpublished papers and other contemporary sources to investigate reading and information exchange in the seventeenth century.
