The Fred Chappell Reader | 
Fred Chappell died last week. I have a signed lithograph of this, one of my favorite poems. I hope he‘s resting in peace with the cool ground‘s mild children.
Published in the Charlotte Observer shortly after September 11 was a poem by Fred Chappell, the NC Poet Laureate at the time of the tragedy. This poem affected me so profoundly, I cut it out and it has lived on my fridge ever since. Having moved many times in the last sixteen years, I'm never "home" until I've posted this poem and I can read it every day. #BookTalk #poetry
