The camera never lies Darla and her dad are looking for a fresh start. But when they wind up in affluent Saffron Hills, Darla stands no chance of fitting in with the beautiful, selfie-obsessed teens at her new school. Just when she thinks things cant get any worse, she starts having visions. The gruesome snapshots flashing into Darlas mind seem to suggest shes going crazy until she realizes theyre actually a horrifying glimpse into the future. With a killer on the loose, can she make sense of what shes seeing before its too late?

Mehso-so

Darla is an OK main character, her dad. Hopper. is a bit of a drunken lech sad to say & sometimes I wanted to shake some sense into him. Sasha is spoilt & only thinks about herself, whilst Frank is quieter but there's a bit of under-the-surface animosity between him & Darla over Sasha's friendship. Not sure why as she is a rubbish friend.

OutsmartYourShelf I started off suspecting one character early on but when something happened to them partway through the book it did throw me a bit. The only other character that I half suspected really didn't fit the profile until the ending when I thought “Oh no, we are not going where I think we're going are we?“. Yes, we did. This book would have been 4🌟 if it hadn't have been for that ending. 2y
OutsmartYourShelf Without giving it away, there was absolutely no lead up as to why the killer would have done what they did & it just all felt...wrong & just a bit lazy. It's well written up until that point & I did enjoy reading most of it, but the ending spoiled it for me & I can only award it 3⭐
