This TL book is a creative way to stretch students‘ imagination. It‘s hard to guess what the old lady will swallow next. The items get bigger and crazier than the last, and keep students on their toes! You can use this book in the classroom to boost student creativity, and to enhance engagement during a read aloud. A reader‘s theatre would be a great way to get students moving and interacting with the story.

My oldest boy loves these books. I will bestow upon them the rating of “pick” just because of that.
In all honesty, these books creep me out. 😂😳 But I see the appeal to little boys who love all things gross. 😁

This traditional literature story was read to me when i was younger and O thought it was so nasty when she swallowed the flu but when u continued to read that wasn‘t the only thing that she swallowed it was a crazy and funny book that i listened too.
