A modern-day mage and consultant to the Chicago police, wizard Harry Dresden finds his stale life suddenly enlivened when he is called to share his expertise in the investigation into a grisly double murder, a crime that reveals the presence of a rival who practices the darkest of black arts, in a graphic-novel adaptation of the best-selling novel.

Pickpick

My 32nd read of the year. For fans of Jim Butcher, the graphic novels can‘t be beat. I always find myself getting more into supernatural type books as fall approaches. This graphic novel did not disappoint.

Pickpick

Great things about this book:
1. Jim Butcher‘s intro
2. The rendition of Harry
3. Very true to the book

Not-so-great things about this book:
1. It does not cover the whole first book
2. Karen does not look at all like she is described in the book
3. The short story at the end and the cover art are by different artist and are not as good

Overall, pretty good. Worth a read if you‘re a fan.
