A really good mystery! Matt flies to Cuba to marry his Cubana girlfriend only to find her murdered. They met through her Cuban food blog. Matt gets involved with trying to find the killer along with the police, the secret police and a Santeria religion leader. The daily life, culture and politics of Cuba is well described. There are several Cuban recipes too. I felt like I was in Cuba. I hope we will see more from Teresa Dovalpage!

I put my book down to switch laundry loads only to return to Ozzie sitting on it. Apparently I've been ignoring him to finish the book. Come on Ozzie it's due tomorrow.

Just went to the library and found two new fun mysteries. Why not? I'm only reading four other books right now! I couldn't resist...at least I didn't buy them. (Yet)

I enjoyed my trip to Cuba last summer so couldn‘t resist this #mystery set in Cuba. The main character is basically a jerk and the stereotypes may hit some folks wrong. Despite that, however, I couldn‘t put this book down as the author also captured the beauty of Cuba. It helps to understand that this book is set during the Black Spring in 2003 so the fear and wariness are pervasive throughout the storyline.

tpixie So unique you got to go to Cuba! I read the book 6y
Debiw781 @tpixie I‘ll have to read that one! And yes, it was one of the best trips we‘ve been on 😊 6y

#TBRtemptation post 3! Coming in 2018 Edition! Scheduled for a March release. The blurb does the title more justice than I could do, lol. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎

SilversReviews That sounds good. 6y
