I'm in the middle of The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon, which is great and I like it so far, (I mean, I wish there was more about the London side of things, but maybe book two).

And the plot suddenly struck me as really familiar, (which is weird because it's not a normally familiar plot). But then I remembered this book that I read a couple years ago courtesy of netgalley...

And now I'm kind of disappointed 😪👇

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage But being tired because I was up until 2:30am reading, probably doesn't help the situation either. 😴 6y

4/5⭐
Sara never fails to surprise me.
With a completely new story, she leaves the dystopian world for a sci-fi one.
And she nails it again, although I didn't fully enjoy the many references to the Black Tiger series, her previous and first work.
But despite all this, I loved this book and its story, Lark and Kalen have a place in my heart ❤.

Happy Book Birthday! 🎉🎂🍾
Romance & Intrigue. Tragedy & Betrayal. And a giant secret that can either bring them together or tear them apart.

My review's posted on Goodreads.
