On the Banks of Plum Creek | Laura Ingalls Wilder

4.5⭐️Read this for a #littlehouse readalong. Why I like this book is that you can see Laura taking on more responsibilities, but she still can go out and play. Looking forward to starting By the Shores of Silver Lake this coming week #2023 #fiction #bookreview #bookstagram #childrenslit #middlegrade #historicalfiction

This got 4 stars from me. A mountain full of maniacs and killers. A woman fleeing from her cheating fiance. What better combination? But what happens when she finds out she can never leave the mountain? check out my review

The Warrior Retreat | John Lynch

Pickpick

Tragic. Raw. Gripping. Emotional.

What makes this book so terrifying is that the events that unfold could really happen. John Lynch has written a powerful story here. Read this!!!! #horror #johnlynch #thewarriorretreat #millitarysplatteterpunk #splatterpunk #slasher #bookreview #bookrecommendation

3.25⭐️ It was ok; I was expecting it to have more of a feel like Beach Read had and ended up feeling a bit disappointed with the book. Quite honestly, I didn‘t really like the back and forth and it just didn‘t work for me. #2023 #fiction #bookreview #bookstagram #emilyhenry #romance

Was my #bookspin book for January.

TheAromaofBooks I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as Beach Read. I couldn't stand Poppy. 6d

2.75⭐️ I really wanted to like this book but it just felt like it was very one-sided and that there were some details that shouldn‘t have been disclosed. I realize that this is from his point of view and that the BRF won‘t be releasing anything to contradict or confirm what he “wrote”. Just not my cup of tea. And personally I‘m kinda tired of him .#2023 #nonfiction #bookreview #bookstagram #brf #hypedbooks

melissajayne Was my #doublespin book for March 1w
melissajayne My thing about the whole #megxit situation is this: if you want privacy from the media and step back from being a senior royal, fine, but then don‘t go and blast your dirty laundry to the world and create more fodder for the tabloids. I get wanting to have a fairly normal family life but just don‘t. And despite what Harry thinks, families have disagreements. ⤵️ 1w
melissajayne Now I need to find a book to cleanse my brain… 1w

SamAnne I‘m not going to read it. I can sympathize with his need to process some of what happened to him but….Patty Davis, Reagan‘s daughter, wrote a tell all back in the day. She had a thoughtful op-Ed in the NYT a few months back reflecting on her decision to publish (older and wiser, she deeply regrets it). She was grateful to have closure with, forgiveness from, her father at the end. He had Alzheimer‘s by then. She was gentle w/Harry but ⬇️ 1w
SamAnne Thought he would deeply regret publishing when he was older, just like she does. This comment is in no way a defense of the BRF but I do agree with you. 1w

Steampunk horror at its finest. Really dug this debut from Van Essler.

5⭐️ I really liked this book and just flew through this. I think that the book really worked was that the book had a very quick pace to the plot. And it helped that Lizzie was extremely likeable and that there were definite villains. I really loved the sign off that Lizzie had for her show: “Children, set the table. Your mother needs a moment to herself.” #2023 #fiction #historicalfiction #bookclub #bookreview #bookstagram #feminism

robinb I loved this one too. Very original. 2w
