If there are any UK fans of Michael Chabon quite a few of his books are going cheap on Kindle at the moment!
saresmoore I definitely need to give Chabon another go. With the endorsements from you and @vivastory, I think it may have been a case of right book, wrong time. 7y
Moray_Reads @saresmoore which one did you try? 7y
saresmoore The Yiddish Policemen‘s Union—I was trying to finish a challenge and it fit a prompt, but I struggled to get into it and just set it aside. 7y

Moray_Reads Ah, I loved that one (it's mad!) but I definitely think you need to be in the right mood. Moonglow is my favourite but I recommend Kavalier and Clay too. I think both @vivastory and I started with that one 7y
vivastory @saresmoore Yes, Kavalier & Clay was my first Chabon & I absolutely loved it. It took me longer to finish than I'd like because of a busy week and other interruptions. I was really frustrated because I wanted everyone to leave me be while I read! 7y
saresmoore Okay, I will give that one a try! Thanks, friends! @vivastory @Moray_Reads 7y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @saresmoore I gotta weigh in here too. Reading Wonder Boys in high school showed me that I could love books that didn‘t have dragons or starships in them. I‘ve read 6 of his books (and spoken to him in person about comic books!) and they‘re all varying degrees of excellent. 7y
Moray_Reads @TobeyTheScavengerMonk @saresmoore Loved this one too! Even though on paper I would have expected to hate it. He's a fabulous writer 7y
saresmoore @TobeyTheScavengerMonk Now, there‘s an endorsement! That also gives me hope that it‘s a book my husband and I will both enjoy. 7y
