A bonkers book about a bonkers person! Marion Carstairs was born in 1900, but soon reinvented herself as Joe, became a speed-boat racer and bought Whale Cay, an island in the #bahamas.
Despite having lots of affairs with women, including Marlene Dietrich, her greatest love was a 12 inch doll called Lord Tod Wadley.
It reads like fiction but is all true!
