3 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
In the fifth book of the “wildly entertaining” (Kirkus Reviews) Miriam Black series, Miriam continues her journey to find answers on how to change her fate and begin to make right some of what she’s done wrong. Armed with new knowledge that suggests a great sacrifice must be made to change her fate, Miriam continues her quest and learns that she must undo the tragedies of her past to move forward. One such tragedy is Wren, who is now a teen caught up in a bad relationship with the forces that haunt Miriam and has become a killer, just like Miriam. Black must try to save the girl, but what’s ahead is something she thought impossible…

Holy hell, what TOOK me so long to start reading the Miriam Black series?! I blew through books four and five of the series in two days. The final book in the series is waiting for me at the library and I‘m excited to get it, but sad it‘s the end of the road for Miriam. (Also, how is this not a TV show yet?!? @netflix @starz get on this!)

vivastory I only read the first one, but really loved it. They planned on adapting it as a series at one point, but it fell through. In fact I believe a couple of my copies even say "Soon to be a TV series" 6y

Haven‘t done much of these things so I‘ll try #friyayintro

1. I‘m from Philly so neither, it‘s Youse.
2. Two. Why waste a syllable?
3. Audible, goodreads, cloud library, my library app, Overdrive, hoople, RBdigital, kindle, downpour, Libby, and Litsy. And thanks to for tagging me.
4. Tonight I‘m going to see Beck in Philly.
5. Don‘t know many people here. So maybe just my fave audiobook collaborator.

Mehso-so

The problem when your in your 5th book with a character that barely survived being great for 3 Books is the character‘s flaws really show. Black becomes almost a middle schooler with the insults and the premise gets a little silly. The same thing happened to the Dexter Books. I thought this was better than the last one, but is far from the Black I enjoyed in the 1st book. One more book after this, according to Wendig

tournevis That's too bad. Chuck is a good writer, though, but I've not read that series. 7y
