I was super excited to get this book from the library but very quickly recognized that there is A LOT of unsafe advice and recipes. It makes me really uncomfortable that people are picking this book up as doing things like using clove, peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils on their children.

Settings I mean they aren't plant defense compounds for nothing. The major compounds in a lavender oil are linalool and linalyl acetate. Both of those can cause skin, eye an respiratory irritation. Linalool can cause central nervous system depression. Just read the labels properly. 6y

underthebelljar I have the book on the left by Worwood! One of the best books on essential oils. As long as you handle them carefully you‘ll be alright. The book by Worwood has great safety info. 🙂 6y
