3.5 ⭐ I enjoyed this book, I would have rated higher, but the writing is a bit simple in sentence structure. But the story is fascinating, about a Jewish midwife in Russia, who works at a lying in hospital in Moscow until her family is subjected to a pogrom in 1904. They flee to America and begin again. I would recommend to you if you're interested in a midwifes life at the turn of the century

This one book who will get in your heart and will stay there forever. This is so beautifully written with so much emotions and reality. This is a story about an ambitious, intelligent, smart, generous and a very kind midwife. The whole book revolves around her personal and professional life. This book gives so much more than just a story. This is a must read for everyone. #gayCourter #fiction #litzyAtoZ #litsy
