pickA nice pocket-book sized collection of excerpts from Orwell‘s essays and fiction. A good introduction to Orwell if you‘re not ready to jump into his complete works.
It is eerie to see how many of Orwell's arguments and observations about lies, propaganda and authoritarism as well as the weak side of Western style democracy are relevant to the present moment.
